Martin Varley is a British entrepreneur and technology strategist with a track record of building, disrupting and scaling businesses across promotional products, consumer safety and on-demand manufacturing. He applies AI, fintech and data intelligence to industries that have historically been resistant to technological change.

He is currently Chief Strategy Officer at Altitude Group plc (AIM: ALT), the UK-listed parent company of AIM Smarter LLC — the largest distributor aggregator in the global promotional products industry, with over 2,300 members and more than $2.3 billion in annual transaction volume operating in a $28 billion sector.

Martin is leading the AI transformation of AIM Smarter, building agentic commerce infrastructure — combining AI-native tooling, a fintech layer and data intelligence to fundamentally change how promotional products are bought, sold and financed at scale. The thesis: apply the structural logic of a GUS-Experian-style data and financial services business to an industry that has never had one.

As European Managing Director of 4imprint Group plc, Martin led the creation of the market leader in European promotional products, building revenues in excess of $100 million with offices across London, Manchester, Hagen, Paris and Hong Kong.

Co-founder of Allergy Alert, a technology platform addressing allergen management in food service and hospitality. Martin sits on the National Allergy Strategy Group as Chair, and has been involved in parliamentary engagement and national policy work around allergy safety in the UK.

Co-founder of Merchr, an AI-powered on-demand product platform enabling brands, creators and enterprises to merchandise without inventory risk — applying print-on-demand and smart supply chain logic to the branded products market.
